Sherry Reilly,
Director of Strategic Services
When Sherry Reilly's modeling career went bust, she spent some time with the circus but alas, the travel schedule was too taxing. She brings those experiences as well as her communications and grassroots experience to her role as Director, Strategic Communications for Grassroots Enterprise. Prior to joining Grassroots, Sherry was the Manager, Marketing and External Affairs for the Maryland Energy Administration where she developed the Maryland ENERGY STAR Program - a multi-faceted marketing campaign promoting energy-efficient products - with Governor Ehrlich as the spokesperson. This consumer education program, launched in January 2004, reached more than 1.5 million Marylanders and was instrumental in transforming Maryland's market for ENERGY STAR products.
Sherry also spent 10 years at the Nuclear Energy Institute managing enAct - the nuclear industry's grassroots program - and directing the Alliance for Sound Nuclear Policy - a diverse coalition of environmental, business, industry, labor and consumer groups who joined together to urge Congress to support Yucca Mountain as the repository for used nuclear fuel. Both enAct and the Alliance were vital parts of the overall effort which resulted in the siting of Yucca Mountain by Congress in July 2002.
Sherry has a bachelor's degree in Business Management from Niagara University.
