WASHINGTON, Oct. 5 -- Former United States Congressman and Christian Coalition executive director Randy Tate has joined the Grassroots Enterprise, Inc. Board of Directors, announced Grassroots CEO Arvind Rajan. The Grassroots Enterprise Board of Directors is chaired by Mike McCurry, former Press Secretary for President Bill Clinton, who is currently on a leave of absence while serving on the Kerry presidential campaign.

Tate represented Washington's 9th Congressional District from 1995-1997 during which time he was a member of the House Transition Team and served as Republican Deputy Whip. Tate had previously served as a member of the Washington State House of Representatives between 1988-1994.
After leaving office, Tate led the Christian Coalition from 1997-1999 where he increased membership by over 200,000, making it one of the most effective conservative grassroots political organizations in the country.
